About the position

The Operations Specialist - Seasonal at H&R Block is responsible for various non-systems duties that support the operational needs of tax offices. This role includes basic maintenance tasks, delivery of supplies, and assistance with the annual setup and closing of seasonal tax offices, ensuring that all locations meet brand standards and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and minor electrical work.
  • Deliver, transfer, and set up office technology and hardware.
  • Deliver supplies and materials to and from tax offices.
  • Assist with the annual setup and closing of seasonal tax offices, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
  • Attend required training for the position.
  • Confirm that the office is properly secured after hours.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the District Operations Coordinator or managerial staff.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Knowledge of Outlook and other web-based programs.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license with adequate insurance as required by state law.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to work independently.
