About the position

Join our Custody Income team and further your operational knowledge along with client, borrower, and broker relationships. In this role, you will work closely with senior team members and be responsible for the production and distribution of timely income claims and process improvements. You will serve as a resource for client inquiries and day-to-day issues while managing relationships with clients, borrowers, and brokers. The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Delivery (GD), which ensures that our clients' income is received and credited to their accounts in a timely and accurate manner. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the financial services industry from day one, and we are looking for someone who is ready to take on this challenge. As an Operations Specialist, Senior Associate, you will be expected to handle numerous ongoing communications and reporting deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Your excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills will be essential in effectively resolving inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. You will also need to be a self-motivated individual with a keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. This role is crucial for ensuring that all internal and external inquiries are resolved accurately and promptly, and you will be responsible for documenting any updates or changes to formal procedures and databases. Additionally, you will participate in various projects and prepare and verify information for special requests as directed, coordinating work efforts when multiple associates are needed to complete tasks. Continuous training and development will also be a part of your responsibilities, ensuring that you remain knowledgeable about current alternative procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with borrowers, brokers, and internal teams to expedite past due income resolution.
  • Ensure all internal and external inquiries are resolved in a timely and accurate manner and communicate effectively with clients when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures and processes.
  • Document any updates or changes to formal procedures, databases, etc.
  • Participate in projects as well as prepare and verify information for those various projects/special requests as directed.
  • Coordinate work efforts when multiple Associates are needed to complete work.
  • Participate in individual ongoing training and development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree preferably in accounting, finance, or economics related area.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Income or equivalent Finance related operations.
  • PC literacy and ability to utilize Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Experience with State Street applications preferred but not required.
