About the position

The Operations Specialist in the Textiles division at Medline Industries is responsible for ensuring proper inventory management across all branches. This role involves coordinating with Product Managers and Inventory Management to develop action plans that enhance service delivery to customers. The position is based in Northfield, IL, and offers a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory levels including surplus, stock transfers, returns, DEDs, and slot holds.
• Contact branches to receive product breakdowns and offer solutions for Sales.
• Review and approve all DED requests.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Respond to product information requests from the sales force.
• Provide Sales with appropriate Medline preferred cross-reference literature brochures.
• Assist with overflow calls from the Product Support team.
• Review back order reports, surplus reports, customer requested product stocking, HOTSHEETS, and open Purchase Order reports.
• Process all returns.
• Review all Accounts Payable issues with vendors including overbill notices, problem tickets, debit memos, credits, and slot holds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant business or administrative support experience.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access.
• Intermediate analysis and math skills.
