About the position

CHS Inc. is seeking a full-time Operations Specialist / Truck Driver in Langdon, ND. This role involves a combination of general labor and truck driving responsibilities, focusing on the loading and unloading of agricultural inputs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The position requires effective communication and customer service skills to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and attaching/detaching hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using machinery/equipment.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks, and regularly inspect equipment.
• Monitor and maintain quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
• Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and feed to customer sites safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding transportation and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and vehicles, including regular housekeeping duties.
• Perform grounds maintenance and warehouse work, including forklift operation.
• Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth facility operations.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.
• Agriculture background preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred.
