As an Operations/Office Specialist in Bridgewater, SD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and providing excellent customer service. You will be the first point of contact for incoming calls and walk-in customers, assisting them with inquiries and guiding them through product options. Your responsibilities will include managing product inventory, coordinating custom fertilizer and spraying services, and operating a forklift for deliveries. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting inventory control, and contributing to safety initiatives within the company. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that customers receive the best possible service and that the facility operates efficiently. In this role, you will work under general supervision and will be expected to carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls, ensuring a professional and courteous response to all inquiries.
  • Assist walk-in customers with questions, guide them through product options, and ensure a positive experience.
  • Efficiently load CPP and Seed, take Fertilizer orders, and manage product inventory through Agris software.
  • Utilize Dispatch Pro and Agellum systems to coordinate custom Fertilizer and spraying services and facilitate the billing process by forwarding necessary documentation to the billing team.
  • Operate a forklift to manage deliveries, including unloading incoming shipments and loading products for customer orders.
  • Assist with loading and unloading fertilizer products.
  • Scan and organize Bills of Lading (BL) and invoices, ensuring accurate records are maintained and sent to the Billing Team.
  • Support inventory control by assisting with counts and maintaining accountability for stock levels.
  • Contribute to the company's safety initiatives by helping to implement and maintain safety protocols.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CDL Class A preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Pre-employment screening may be required.
