About the position

The Operations Specialist at Mountain West Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager and Operations Support Manager by ensuring smooth operations within the department. This position involves a variety of tasks including handling wire transfers, fraud investigations, and balancing general ledgers, while also providing assistance to team members and addressing customer inquiries. The role is designed for individuals looking to start or advance their careers in banking while contributing positively to the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager and Operations Support Manager with department coverage.
• Back up team members for Domestic/Foreign Wires, BSA duties, and Non-Post processing.
• Balance various General Ledgers accurately and timely, including Teller Cash Balancing and Foreign items.
• Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Collect and compile certifications for monthly review.
• Process Non-Post and all associated duties.
• Handle fraud emails and correspondence.
• Assist with BSA functions such as CTRs and emails.
• Monitor the Bank's Fraud Investigation program and respond to potential fraudulent activity.
• Assist in maintaining the Customer Identification Program (CIP).
• Process Lock Box and mail room duties as needed.
• Process Accounts Payable and assist with maintenance and research requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 or more years of retail banking experience or a combination of finance and banking.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Impeccable customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Preference given to those with Jack Henry experience and knowledge of MWB systems, products, and procedures.
