About the position

The Operations Specialist position at Associated Healthcare Credit Union is a full-time role based in Woodbury, MN, responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the accounting and card services systems. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for card services, handling fraud and dispute processing, and managing the card service systems. This role requires a proactive approach to assist in researching and resolving errors, questions, and inquiries regarding member accounts. The Operations Specialist will perform a variety of support duties related to the accounting and card services functions within the credit union, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service to members. Key responsibilities include the completion of daily tasks such as posting and balancing all electronic transactions, including ACH, ATM, Share Draft, Share Draft Returns, Wires, card entries, loan servicing entries, and any adjustments or suspense items. The specialist will also process and correct all EFT transactions transmitted daily from the Federal Reserve, monitor debit card fraud and disputes, and balance and journalize all necessary transactions with miscellaneous clearing accounts. Additionally, the role involves researching and resolving member inquiries regarding account statements, disputes, and monetary adjustments, as well as adjusting members' accounts in the event of customer input errors and communicating these adjustments with the members. The Operations Specialist will assist with month-end processing and support audits and examinations, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. The ideal candidate will possess back-office operations experience and knowledge of accounting systems within the financial industry, along with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Continuous learning and participation in training and coursework are encouraged to maintain a high standard of accuracy and professionalism in all documentation and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of accounting and card services systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for card services, including fraud and dispute processing.

Requirements

  • Back-office operations experience within the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written, personal, and presentation).
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and other computer applications.

Nice-to-haves
