About the position

CHS, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Roseland, NE, to manage daily operations at our local facility. This role is essential for supporting the largest cooperative in the U.S. and offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for overtime to enhance earnings. The position involves a variety of responsibilities related to the handling of agricultural commodities and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently as directed.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and attaching/detaching hoses.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using machinery/equipment.
  • Control and monitor all load out functions.
  • Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
  • Conduct and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
  • Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemicals, seeds, and feed to customer sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas, conducting regular housekeeping duties.
  • Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
  • Drive loaders and operate forklifts for warehouse work and inventory management.
  • Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Must meet minimum age requirement

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
