At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. As an Operations Specialist - Experienced in Rockford, WA, you will play a crucial role in our grain and agronomy operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will be involved in loading and unloading grain, agronomy, and feed products, performing scheduled maintenance and repairs, and acquiring knowledge on how to monitor and maintain grain quality. Additionally, you will assist in mixing and loading fertilizer and chemical products while also helping with the loading of trains. Delivering fertilizer, grain, feed, and fuel to customers will also be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Load and unload grain, agronomy, and feed products.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain grain quality, mix/load fertilizer, and chemical products.
  • Assist in loading trains with agricultural products.
  • Deliver fertilizer, grain, feed, and fuel to customers.
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling and opening hatches.
  • Control and monitor all load out functions using automated systems.
  • Conduct and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect equipment for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly, conducting regular housekeeping duties.
  • Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Agriculture experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Grain handling experience preferred.
