About the position

The Operations Specialist at Stash Ventures plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dispensary. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing inventory, supporting sales efforts, and maintaining high customer service standards. The role requires a strong understanding of the cannabis industry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational execution, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage the ordering of supplies using the Supplies Checklist in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Oversee building maintenance and communicate needs to General Managers or Operations Directors.
  • Communicate policy changes to General Managers and Assistant Store Managers.
  • Direct and monitor security personnel, if applicable.
  • Investigate and prevent asset loss with the loss prevention team.
  • Assist with the execution of all opening and closing checklists.
  • Conduct a weekly store walkthrough using the maintenance checklist to ensure facilities are well-kept and operational.
  • Investigate and prevent asset loss through regular inventory audits.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and District Managers on merchandising strategies and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Execute a weekly CRA compliance store walkthrough and ensure compliance with state and CRA rules.
  • Conduct weekly scale calibrations for all flower scales in the building.
  • Ensure all waste is documented and handled according to company standards.
  • Perform Metrc conversions and assign new package tags as needed.
  • Create outgoing manifests on Metrc.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs and build Metrc sales receipts when necessary.
  • Check integration audits daily and report discrepancies to management.
  • Coordinate with upper management to drive promotions and inventory sell-through.
  • Ensure visual standards are set according to company direction.
  • Ensure audits are done on schedule and completed on time.
  • Ensure orders are received accurately and according to policy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and submit product requests weekly.
  • Review expiring/aging products weekly with the General Manager.
  • Assist leadership with managing returns and wasted products.
  • Ensure bulk flower jars are filled throughout the day.
  • Destroy all waste and faulty products weekly according to policies.
  • Conduct scheduled cycle counts according to company policy.
  • Check aging inventory and tag aged items according to SOPs.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and inspire team members.
  • Motivate staff to create a warm and respectful work atmosphere.
  • Inform team members of new products and coordinate stock communication.
  • Conduct vault counts on a scheduled basis.
  • Oversee invoicing processes to reduce errors.
  • Submit vendor credit requests when necessary.
  • Communicate aging/expiring products to vendors and the buying team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least two (2) years of inventory management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry and compliance rules acquired through experience in the industry.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to undergo a background check.
  • Ability to accommodate scheduling expectations, including weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
