About the position

The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for the timely input and maintenance of commercial and business banking loans, ensuring accuracy in accordance with established service levels. This role serves as a point of contact for team members, addressing questions and facilitating loan processing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process all commercial loan maintenance requests in the Bank's core system
• Process note and commitment renewals, modifications, and extensions originated in the nCino application; identify discrepancies based on credit approval and loan documentation
• Monitor shared Servicing mailbox, Sales Management application, and interoffice mail for commercial loan maintenance requests
• Daily booking of Commercial and Business Banking loans through manual or automated interface applications
• Review and understand commercial loan documentation and compare it to data in nCino
• Monitor pipeline of new loans using reports and views from loan origination systems
• Research and resolve complex commercial requests and assist peers with issues
• Complete daily reporting and monthly reconciliation for various investors
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies across all areas of responsibility

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a loan servicing role is required
• Completion of high school degree or equivalent required
• Ability to read and understand commercial loan documents
• Comprehensive knowledge of loan documentation for all lending products
• Knowledge of commercial lending, participations, and syndications
• Ability to interpret and follow loan notes, bills/statements, and bank policies
• Good working knowledge of IBS Insight
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Experience with commercial loan servicing software
