About the position

The Operations Specialist at Palmetto is responsible for supporting the critical fulfillment functions of the operation in Pittsburgh. This role involves overseeing design and engineering processes with third-party vendors, as well as assisting in permitting, interconnection, financial operations, and customer operations. The position requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to various needs within the operations team and facilitate project execution throughout its lifecycle, ultimately contributing to the long-term growth and success of the Pittsburgh location.

Responsibilities

• Support design and engineering oversight of third-party vendors.
• Assist in permitting, interconnection, financial operations, and customer operations.
• Facilitate the execution of each solar fulfillment stage in alignment with expected SLAs.
• Manage third-party vendor network to meet expected SLAs.
• Ensure all licensing requirements in each active AHJ are up to date and accurately tracked.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to execute fulfillment tasks.
• Meet with the General Manager to identify areas needing additional support in the fulfillment process.
• Review reporting for each fulfillment stage and take ownership of executing work for SLA improvement.
• Support permitting, interconnection, project management, and financial operations teams.
• Take direct ownership of a fulfillment stage when necessary to ensure project progress.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Solar Operations, Account Management, Customer Experience, or similar roles.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating execution requirements.
• Successful track record managing multiple accounts and business relationships.
• Ability to engage with external parties and international operations.
• Experience solving complex problems with diplomacy.
• Demonstrated relationship building and client management skills.
• Proven experience collaborating across multiple internal and external teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic and innovative mindset.
• Team player with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a nimble, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
