The Operations Specialist at First National Bank is a pivotal role responsible for a variety of regular and recurring deposit operations functions that support the overall bank operations. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth processing of electronic fund transfers, daily overdraft and exception items, deposit maintenance, and account research. The Operations Specialist will also engage in special projects related to bank deposit operations, contributing to the bank's mission of providing exceptional service and innovative banking solutions to the community. In this role, the Operations Specialist will work with unposted items, manage overdrafts and exceptions, and conduct deposit maintenance and account research. They will be responsible for processing legal notices and performing account analysis, ensuring that all entries and maintenance of items are handled accurately. Customer support is a key aspect of this position, as the specialist will assist clients with electronic transfers of funds and address disputes on various types of transactions. The role also involves ensuring that return processes and handling of unauthorized transactions for ACH, debit cards, and checks are executed in a timely and precise manner. The Operations Specialist will support both business and retail banking platforms, which includes reviewing remote deposit items, adding accounts, creating and reviewing commercial setups, and processing monthly billing. They will also review account documentation for Deposit and CD products to ensure completeness and accuracy. Additionally, the specialist will complete requests from internal and external clients regarding account maintenance, asset verifications, and research requests, generating necessary reports as required. The role may also involve providing backup for Deposit Support functions such as wires, vault, and fraud, as well as assisting with special projects including system integrations, upgrades, or releases. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
