About the position

The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in coordinating with various Army entities to ensure effective operations and contingency planning. This position involves acting as a liaison officer for emergency situations, performing anti-terrorism duties, and developing plans to address emerging threats. The specialist will work closely with security and facilities staff to implement best practices and ensure the safety and security of client facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multiple Army entities at various levels from HQDA, TRADOC, the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE), down to the BN level.
• Perform responsibilities as a Liaison officer (LNO) to Garrison for contingency operations for real world missions, which may include shift work for emergency situations.
• Act as an anti-terrorism officer as required for emergency and contingency operations and assist with vulnerability assessments of client-related facilities.
• Develop contingency plans related to emergency activities to prepare and respond to emerging threats and incidents affecting the client.
• Make recommendations using risk management principles for sound mitigation techniques using proven and field-tested systems.
• Interact and coordinate activities with the client field offices for proper integration and implementation of developed plans.
• Work with various security and facilities staffs to ensure the use of best practices in acquisition, lease, or modification to client facilities.
• Plan and conduct approved FPPSPO exercises.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating with military or government entities at various levels.
• Knowledge of contingency operations and emergency response protocols.
• Experience in anti-terrorism measures and vulnerability assessments.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and mitigation techniques.
• Ability to develop and implement contingency plans effectively.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
