About the position

The Operations Specialist - Seasonal at H&R Block is responsible for various non-systems duties that support the operational needs of tax offices. This role includes basic maintenance tasks, delivery of supplies, and assisting with the setup and closing of seasonal offices, ensuring they meet brand standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles.
  • Conduct minor low voltage electrical work and repair broken items.
  • Deliver, transfer, and set up office technology and hardware.
  • Deliver supplies and materials to and from tax offices.
  • Assist with the annual setup and closing of seasonal tax offices, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
  • Attend required training for the position.
  • Confirm that the office is properly secured after hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the District Operations Coordinator or managerial staff.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other web-based programs.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license with adequate insurance as required by state law.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to work independently.
