About the position

The Operations Specialist at Marco's Franchising, LLC plays a crucial role in coaching store Team Members, Franchisees, and Franchise Business Consultants to enhance store performance. This position involves conducting operational assessments to ensure brand standards are met, protecting the brand's reputation, and identifying training needs. The role requires timely communication regarding critical incidents or trends affecting franchisees or restaurants, making it essential for someone who is passionate about people and thrives in a performance-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Operations Systems Evaluations and have regular accountability calls with franchisees in assigned territories to monitor and impact results.
  • Understand, interpret, uphold, and enforce operations standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide positive, constructive, and actionable feedback.
  • Provide hands-on training during evaluations.
  • Identify operational gaps and make recommendations on areas for improvement.
  • Assess and share best practices.
  • Partner with the Training department to identify training needs and inform training development.
  • Educate franchisees and operators on current and revised standards in a proactive manner.
  • Verify and approve new restaurants are ready to open.
  • Coordinate opening support for new restaurants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years' experience as a Marco's General Manager or comparable work experience
  • Ability to perform seven or more OSE's per week
  • Ability to travel 75-85% including overnight travel
  • Must be able to stand for longer periods at a time (10 hours)
  • Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs on any given day
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective coaching and motivating skills, professional demeanor.

  • Thorough understanding of Marco's standards, policies, and procedures
  • Appropriate level of computer and technology skills (Microsoft Office, Pocket PC)
  • Ability to give constructive feedback and diffuse volatile situations.
