About the position

The Operations Specialist position at Aston Carter is a critical role that provides administrative support across various areas of Plant Operations. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the creation, management, and closure of Production Batch Tickets, as well as updating the ERP system and performing data entry in multiple areas. The Operations Specialist will also be involved in cycle counting and entering data into the inventory system, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, this position requires the printing and provision of labels for products and equipment, along with offering purchasing, warehouse, and production support as needed. A key responsibility of the Operations Specialist is to create, issue, and provide accurate Production Batch Tickets and Tags for Customer Orders and Floor Stock Agreements in a timely manner. This ensures that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. The specialist will also be tasked with accurately closing batch tickets in the ERP system, which is essential for supporting BPF metrics and KPIs related to inventory accuracy and customer service. Furthermore, the Operations Specialist will serve as a backup to warehouse personnel when necessary, which includes receiving and moving materials, as well as handling shipping and receiving documentation. This position is vital for maintaining the operational integrity of the plant and ensuring that all processes are executed with precision and attention to detail. The Operations Specialist will work closely with various teams to facilitate seamless operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and close Production Batch Tickets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Update the ERP system and perform data entry in various areas.
  • Conduct cycle counting and enter data into the inventory system.
  • Print and provide labels for products and equipment.
  • Provide purchasing, warehouse, and production support as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of inventory experience.
  • Ability to perform multiple cross-functional job duties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data.
