As an Operations Specialist at Worldwide Flight Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that require coordination, observation, and hands-on assistance in cargo duties. You will be part of a dedicated team that is committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers while adhering to safety and security protocols. Your work will directly impact the timely delivery of cargo shipments, luggage, and business-to-customer deliveries, contributing to the overall success of our operations across 164 airport locations in 18 countries. In this role, you will ensure that all duties performed by assigned personnel are completed efficiently and professionally. You will be responsible for export cargo build-up, import/export cargo tracing, and forklift operation. Monitoring the utilization of dock offload/loading and completing warehouse cargo inventory assessments will also be part of your daily tasks. You will prepare import/export flight documentation and accept/distribute cargo in accordance with applicable air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations, providing outstanding customer service to resolve any issues that may arise. Safety is paramount in this position. You will ensure compliance with all ramp safety regulations, perform loading and unloading of aircraft, and conduct visual Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks. Additionally, you will check the condition of aircraft before and after loading, operate ramp equipment, and coordinate the transportation of cargo between terminals and aircraft. It is essential to comply with all WFS safety and security policies and procedures, as well as air carrier TSA Security Programs. You will remain vigilant regarding the activities of WFS staff, contractors, and visitors, reporting any security breaches or suspicious occurrences to the Manager or through the WFS reporting system. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and you will be required to join the Transport Workers Union (TWU) and pay union dues.
