About The Position

The Operations Specialist serves as a flexible, on-site leader responsible for providing interim coverage for vacant Executive Director positions across the community portfolio. This role ensures continuity of leadership, supports day-to-day operations, and maintains high standards in resident care, staff performance, and financial stewardship. The Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in achieving community goals related to occupancy, revenue, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality management, or a related operations leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, managing budgets, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within senior living or similar environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different environments, communities, and operational challenges.
  • Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various community locations as needed.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and comfortable learning specialized industry software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide short-term coverage for vacant Executive Director roles, ensuring continuity of leadership and stable operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, residents, families, and local partners during interim assignments.
  • Oversee daily operations, including occupancy management, expense control, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and organizational guidelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and support on-site staff to maintain a positive, high-performing workplace environment.
  • Recruit, train, and retain qualified team members, ensuring proper onboarding and ongoing professional development.
  • Promote a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for residents, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Foster a culture of excellent customer service, continually improving resident satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost reductions, and revenue enhancements within each community.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices, drive continuous improvement, and meet strategic objectives.
