About the position

The Operations Specialist at American Water Enterprises is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and collection of utility asset information. This role involves utilizing GPS and GIS mapping equipment to locate existing and new assets for construction projects, providing administrative, analytical, and technical support for day-to-day operations within the department.

Responsibilities

• Research, scan, catalog, and maintain spreadsheets related to utility assets.
• Create, delete, and edit asset information in MapCall/SAP and potentially edit GIS data in ArcGIS.
• Track GPS points and gather data within the local service area.
• Pilot drones and use ground penetrating radar (GPR) with GPS integration, contingent on FAA Certification 107 and safety management compliance.
• Maintain relational databases and reporting tools to compile, calculate, track, report, and clean up data for various processes including capital programs and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze reports and prepare variances related to Asset Control department work processes.

Requirements
