About the position
The Operations Supervisor at WIN Waste Innovations is responsible for overseeing the collections activities across multiple lines of business within the Hauling division. This role involves managing drivers and helpers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and driving initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence while collaborating with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise collections activities for commercial, residential, roll-off, and container delivery and pick up.
- Oversee drivers and helpers, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Implement tactical initiatives to drive operational excellence in collaboration with the Operations Manager and General Manager.
- Lead safety and accident prevention programs to maintain a safe work environment.
- Engage employees in safety practices and promote a culture of safety.
- Resolve service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communication.
- Interact with customers to address issues and enhance customer experience.
- Establish and manage productivity goals and ensure adherence to operating standards.
- Create and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Support maintenance and operational roles in fleet quality and maintenance.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and drive employee engagement.
- Develop talent within the team and provide coaching for career advancement.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of lead or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build effective teams.
- Creative thinking skills to challenge conventional solutions.
