About The Position

The Operations Supervisor at Marshalls is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of a department within the Distribution Center. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring high levels of quality and service, and maintaining a motivated workforce. The supervisor will spend a significant amount of time on the floor, directly engaging with associates to drive productivity and morale while fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • High School graduate; College preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and development skills.
  • Proficient in math and PC skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.
  • Ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders.
  • Availability to support multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Total responsibility for operating an efficient, productive, and safe department.
  • Meet or exceed daily production requirements within the Distribution Center.
  • Maintain high levels of quality and service.
  • Spend a minimum of 90% of the total shift on the floor reviewing orders and directing associates.
  • Manage day-to-day activity within the department, including planning, flow, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and motivate associates, ensuring high morale and maintaining company culture.
  • Build effective relationships with business partners, including management and human resources.
  • Effectively communicate with associates and management to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements.
  • Review practices, methods, and processes for constant improvement.
