About the position

The Operations Supervisor at Cobb's Comedy Live Nation is responsible for overseeing day-of-show operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining security and service standards. This part-time role involves direct interaction with guests and staff, addressing inquiries and concerns, and leading pre-shift meetings to communicate essential information. The position requires a proactive approach to guest relations and the ability to handle various operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Ops Manager and Security Supervisor to perform day of show duties.
  • Respond to elevated staff/guest inquiries and concerns regarding shows and amenities.
  • Correct guest concerns and complaints related to security and customer service.
  • Follow up with Security and Guest Services teams to ensure service standards are met.
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy.
  • Inform guests of Music Hall amenities and make recommendations.
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting issues.
  • Suggestively sell all venue products and services when applicable.
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and communicate them to team members.
  • Create pre-shift sheet and relay information from management to staff.
  • Turn in all lost and found articles to Box Office.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per training and Live Nation policies.
  • Maintain security of Back of House areas and ensure proper line of sight maintenance by staff.
  • Lead all pre-shift meetings prior to the start of the shift.
  • Communicate any issues that guests or team members may have to M.O.D.
  • Work with M.O.D. to resolve guest issues and consult management if necessary.
  • Complete incident reports and collect witness statements.
  • Assist MOD with ejection logs and incident reports.
  • Work Special Events scheduled throughout the venue.

Requirements

  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of high-volume nightclub operations and guest relations.
  • Skills in guest relations/staff relations, assessing and anticipating special needs of guests.
  • Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues effectively with an upbeat attitude.
  • Ability to read guests to anticipate their needs.
  • Ability to turn potentially negative situations into positive ones.
  • Strong communication skills with team members and managers.

Nice-to-haves
