About the position

The Operations Supervisor at JCPenney is responsible for driving profitable sales growth by managing store operations, supervising associates, and ensuring effective execution of operational tasks. This role involves overseeing inventory management, customer service, and team development to maintain high performance standards within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the team and resolve customer issues in a professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate in-stock information.
  • Oversee the RFID process and manage system updates for stock ledger.
  • Lead the merchandise preparation process from door to floor.
  • Manage the pricing and signing team, including promotional price signing.
  • Oversee stockroom processes and work safety initiatives.
  • Manage the cash office and logistics with third-party carriers.
  • Train and develop associates, addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Meet established performance standards related to shrink, safety, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
