At Oceanit, we are seeking a proactive Operations Support Coordinator to oversee administrative and operational functions at our Houston site. This role is crucial in providing hands-on, professional, and customer-focused support services that align with our mission of creating value from innovation through engineering and scientific excellence. The Operations Support Coordinator will be responsible for managing various operational tasks, ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will provide superior customer and administrative support services to meet both individual and internal customer/business needs effectively and with high quality. This includes managing incoming and outgoing phone calls, mail, deliveries, and visitor traffic. The Operations Support Coordinator will also develop efficient operational procedures and continuously monitor and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure optimal performance. In addition, the role involves executing office purchasing activities in accordance with Oceanit's policies, planning and coordinating office space planning, renovations, staff assignments, and relocations, and liaising with building management for repairs and maintenance. The coordinator will act as a liaison between Oceanit and offsite storage locations as required, oversee office supplies inventory purchases and maintenance, and coordinate logistics for Oceanit's commercialization efforts related to supply chain activities. The Operations Support Coordinator will manage inventory comprehensively, including equipment, parts, components, and chemicals, ensuring proper asset tagging and tracking. Participation in company-sponsored events, assisting with planning, organizing, and execution is also part of the role. Furthermore, the coordinator will manage office-related security, fire safety, and emergency response activities, ensuring 24x7 readiness. Support for petty cash, check requests, purchase and invoice reconciliation, and travel reimbursement reconciliation will also be required. The role will involve assisting HR with new hire and open enrollment processes, supporting Accounting with time sheets and audit activities, and assisting the Marketing department as needed.
