About the position

The Operations Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating transportation and parking activities at Ohio University. This position is responsible for supervising staff, managing resources, and ensuring efficient operations of the campus shuttle program and parking enforcement. The coordinator will also focus on team collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement within the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day field and operational activities for transportation and parking services programs.
  • Oversee the supervision of personnel including recruitment, selection, training, development, and evaluation efforts.
  • Manage parking enforcement and field activities, including signage and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee the CATS Daily campus shuttle program, including hiring, staff training, and resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership support to ensure team collaboration and customer-focused service care.
  • Assist with in-field technology coordination and equipment maintenance.
  • Organize and plan equipment and personnel resources to meet staffing and event needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to maintain safety and professionalism in service delivery.
  • Complete and review operational service documents and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Assist with coordination of after-hours service functions and resolve complex service issues.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an Underground Storage Tank (UST) Class C Operator Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain pavement/asphalt inspection certification and PAVER database training within one year of employment.
  • Associate's degree or vocational/technical school degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience.
