The Operations Support Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing daily inventory transactions and related processes, including inventory movements, cycle counts, inventory issuing, and conducting weekly physical inventory counts. This position requires effective communication with the Operations Team to ensure the accurate selection of inventory and the completion of necessary testing packets for both inbound and outbound equipment. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Regional Supply Chain Management and Regional Operations Management Teams to develop and implement process improvements aimed at eliminating errors throughout the inventory management process. As the central point of contact for inquiries from the shop, the Operations Support Coordinator will handle multiple team members' questions simultaneously. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations and will not be confined to an office setting, allowing for hands-on involvement with equipment and testing machines. The coordinator will be responsible for incorporating inventory controls to enhance accuracy, ensuring that pick sheets are correct, and completing inventory allocation transactions in the MRP system while reviewing equipment testing and inspections. Additionally, the coordinator will institute best practices related to inventory management, perform inventory transactions such as work orders and receiving in the MRP system, and regularly verify and cycle count inventory as inaccuracies are reported or requested. Coordination with Plant Management to improve inventory, testing, and inspection processes is essential, as is the ability to recognize and suggest improvements to eliminate operational errors. The role may require adjusting work schedules and working overtime as needed, and assisting leadership in tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is also a key responsibility.
