About the position

As an Operations Support Specialist/Physical Therapy Aide/Rehab Aide at ATI, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed clinicians. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to gain valuable healthcare knowledge and skills while contributing to a team dedicated to exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include setting up and adjusting exercise equipment, instructing patients on exercise performance, and assisting with therapeutic modalities as prescribed. You will also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that supplies are adequately stocked. In addition to direct patient care, you will be responsible for enhancing the patient experience by greeting and interacting with patients warmly, both in person and over the phone. You will assist with the patient intake and registration process, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and that patients are informed about their benefits. Your role will also involve supporting the clinic's metrics by converting referrals into evaluations and assisting with patient rescheduling to minimize drop percentages. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
  • Safely set up and adjust exercise equipment, instructing and monitoring exercise performance.
  • Assist with prescribed home exercise programs and therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
  • Maintain overall tidiness of the clinics, following cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • Order and stock clinic supplies, ensuring equipment is clean and functioning properly.
  • Escalate patient concerns and issues to clinicians and the Clinic Director for quick resolution.
  • Greet and interact with patients warmly during the daily check-in process and throughout their appointment.
  • Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process, assisting clinicians with timely scheduling.
  • Onboard new patients, reviewing relevant paperwork and verifying benefits.
  • Assist with the collection of Patient Reported Outcome assessments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, PT & PTA students).
  • Customer service experience in the service industry or administrative role.
  • Certified Personal Trainer experience is preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Health Sciences or a related field is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or clinic.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy practices and modalities.
