About the position

As an Operations Support Specialist I at ATI Physical Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed clinicians. This full-time position requires you to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with varying hours between 7 AM and 7 PM. Your responsibilities will include setting up and adjusting exercise equipment, instructing patients on exercise performance, and assisting with therapeutic modalities as prescribed. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that supplies are adequately stocked. In addition to patient care, you will be integral in enhancing the overall patient experience. This includes greeting patients warmly, assisting with the intake and registration process, and ensuring that new patients are onboarded effectively. You will work closely with clinicians to promote efficient scheduling and help convert referrals into evaluations, thereby supporting the clinic's metrics and goals. Your role will also involve collecting patient-reported outcomes and assisting with payment collections in alignment with company policies. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
  • Safely set up and adjust exercise equipment, instruct and monitor exercise performance.
  • Assist with prescribed home exercise programs and therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, following sanitation protocols and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
  • Greet and interact with patients warmly during check-in and throughout their appointment.
  • Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process, assisting clinicians with scheduling.
  • Onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, and completing medical forms.
  • Assist in converting referrals into evaluations and limit patient drop percentage.
  • Support daily patient check-in processes, including payment collections and patient outcome assessments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed clinicians.
  • Basic knowledge of physical therapy practices and patient care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a physical therapy aide or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
