About the position

The Operations Support Specialist at SummitStone Health Partners plays a crucial role in providing operational support within a new acute care behavioral health facility. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to clients and team members while managing a variety of operational tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. The specialist will assist clients with appointments, insurance verification, and documentation, while also collaborating with clinical and operational teams to enhance clinic efficiency and support new team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, staff, community partners, and vendors.
• Greet clients, check them into appointments, assist with paperwork, and collect payments.
• Verify client insurance coverage and ensure correct application to patient accounts.
• Communicate effectively via email, phone, and in-person with colleagues.
• Manage work queues in the electronic health record, including uploading documentation and scheduling functions.
• Correspond with referring partners, clients, and staff members.
• Activate crisis response processes when clients need immediate support.
• Participate in assigned triage processes and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Support new team members in learning workflows and provide shadowing opportunities.
• Track client belongings in acute care settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in customer service or a client-facing position required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a related position in healthcare or behavioral healthcare operations preferred.
• Experience with high acuity care is highly desirable.
• Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred.
