About The Position

The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the operations team by performing a variety of routine and ad-hoc activities. This position involves accurate processing of information related to orders, production, shipping, pricing, payment, invoices, and other business information. The specialist will also handle the administration of production documentation and serve as a resource for general questions regarding department operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of operations, administrative, or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems, including spreadsheet skills and knowledge of spreadsheet functions.
  • Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision.
  • Able to take initiative in performing job.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented.
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Able to reconcile production transactions and inventories.
  • Able to operate office machines including a calculator, scanner, copy machine, facsimile.
  • Able to complete basic arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Input production data into spreadsheets, databases, and/or systems.
  • Support setup and data population of various programs (3E, Brady 360).
  • Maintain production reports, files, and other documents.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliation of inventories.
  • Compile necessary data from paperwork and produce daily production reports.
  • Inspect data for discrepancies, investigate discrepancies, and resolve and/or notify supervisor.
  • Write and send out production recap emails to appropriate managers and supervisors.
  • Assist operations team with daily activities and/or projects.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
