About the position

The Operations Support Specialist will provide technical support for oil and gas operations and production software applications, focusing on end-user training and technical assistance for data capture and reporting applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide applications support for programs such as TOW, Open Wells, Spotfire, Carte, TfNet, and custom reporting.
• Conduct ongoing end-user training for data capture and reporting applications.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to software applications.
• Collaborate with field operations teams to understand their software needs and provide solutions.

Requirements

• 2 years of industry experience preferred, with a strong preference for experience as an engineering or drilling technician.
• Working knowledge of field operations including drilling, workovers, recompletions, and production.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft BI technologies such as SQL Server and Reporting Services.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with an emphasis on database programs.
• Proven ability to develop or implement training programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data capture and reporting applications.
• Familiarity with oil and gas industry software and operations.
