About the position

The Operations Support Specialist at Conagra Brands in Darien, WI, is an entry-level position within the production department, primarily focused on supporting procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations. This role involves reviewing documentation for accuracy, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient operations in one of Conagra's largest manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices, receiving paperwork, and inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Provide backup and perform tasks for procurement, scheduling, inventory control, and supply room associates.
• Review daily inventory and exception reports to support the procurement department.
• Write purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services.
• Evaluate purchase requests for accuracy and other information.
• Coordinate with procurement and maintenance departments on purchasing activities to maintain inventory.
• Provide feedback to requesting departments regarding purchase order status.
• Assure orders are processed against the appropriate chart of accounts.
• Receive and examine incoming stock for discrepancies/damage and work with vendors to resolve.
• Conduct cycle counts of supply room inventory and participate in yearly inventory counts.
• Work with and support plant and corporate personnel, including procurement, scheduling, logistics, supply room, inventory control, finance, and operations.
• Participate in cost reduction projects.
• Process required paperwork.
• Help train associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
• 1 to 3 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrate ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP preferred.
• Intermediate math skills.
