SoBran is seeking an Operations Support Specialist I to serve at a controlled access mail screening facility in Washington, D.C. This position is a vital part of a multi-functional mail screening team, where members are responsible for the safe and efficient receiving, sorting, screening, and sampling of various types of mail from a wide array of customers. This entry-level position is designed to provide new employees with the baseline training required to perform the full range of mail screening, logistics, and support duties and responsibilities. Duties will include accountability for products entering and exiting the warehouse, visually inspecting mail for suspicious stains or substances, receiving and sorting incoming mail, screening mail (letters, parcels, and flats) for potential contaminants following established guidelines, directives, and protocols, performing x-ray screening operations, and executing general logistics duties such as housekeeping/warehousing and performance checks and service of equipment.
