About the position

The Senior Consultant in Operations and Technology Transformation at Deloitte focuses on delivering innovative technology solutions for the insurance sector. This role involves advising clients on business transformation, implementing technology solutions, and optimizing operational efficiency through deep industry knowledge and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large Insurance Carriers/companies.
• Support the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise specifically related to integration with complex legacy applications.
• Responsible for end-to-end development of the Guidewire platform, focusing on configuration and integration with surrounding upstream and downstream applications and data platforms.
• Advise on opportunities to improve capabilities and create efficiencies as part of the platform roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 6 years' consulting or relevant Insurance experience within Property & Casualty - Personal Lines, Commercial Lines or Specialty Insurance
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Guidewire development role using Java
• 6+ years of hands-on technical experience using Java/J2EE technology stack with a deep knowledge of the SDLC; back-end or full-stack experience - Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, React JS
• 6 years of experience working in one of the following Insurance sub service areas: User experience, Integration, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, Underwriting or Distribution
• 6 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance with one of the following solutions: Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar package
• 4+ years of experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
• 6+ years of experience supporting at least one large Business Integration effort and project team through one or more project lifecycle phases from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development and testing
• 6+ years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs.
