About the position

As an Operations & Technology Transformation Senior Consultant specializing in Guidewire Data Migration and ETL Development, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative technology solutions to our clients in the insurance sector. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and consulting experience, particularly within the Property & Casualty insurance domain. You will be responsible for interfacing with clients to understand their business needs and translating those needs into effective technology solutions. Your role will involve defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, conducting testing, and training users on the new systems. You will also be tasked with defining support procedures and overseeing the implementation of these solutions. In this position, you will leverage your extensive experience in large-scale system delivery, particularly in areas such as Policy Administration, Billing Systems, and Claims Systems. You will lead the development and review of system requirements, design the solution architecture, and present prototypes to stakeholders. Your expertise in ETL processes, particularly with tools like Informatica and Microsoft SSIS, will be crucial as you work on data migration projects. You will also be expected to manage large business integration efforts, guiding project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from scoping and planning to requirements gathering, design, development, and testing. The role requires a strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in the context of modernizing and transforming insurance operations through technology. You will be part of a team that advises clients on best practices and innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency and growth. Your ability to travel approximately 50% of the time will be essential, as you will be working closely with clients across various sectors to implement these transformative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Define systems strategy and develop system requirements for technology solutions.
• Design and prototype technology solutions, ensuring they meet client specifications.
• Conduct testing of custom technology solutions and lead user training sessions.
• Develop and review system requirements and design the solution architecture.
• Manage large business integration efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the implementation of technology solutions and define support procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of consulting or relevant insurance experience within Property & Casualty.
• 4 years of experience with Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions, specifically with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar packages.
• 4 years of experience in one of the following areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, or Distribution.
• Minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations of large-scale system delivery experience, preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems, or Claims Systems.
• 4 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
• 4 years of experience with data mapping and SQL.
• 1 year of experience estimating and planning large-scale system implementations.
• 2 years of experience managing a large business integration effort and project team through all project phases.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
• 4 years of experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
• Experience delivering projects via Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, and UNIX.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration.
• Familiarity with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
