About the position

As an Operations & Technology Transformation Specialist Master at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative technology solutions to our clients in the insurance sector. Our Operations and Technology Transformation team is dedicated to providing market-leading expertise and industry depth by leveraging deep sector knowledge and hybrid services. We focus on addressing the core business issues faced by our clients, particularly in sectors such as Health Care & Life Sciences, Digital Banking & Payments, Investment & Wealth Management, Insurance, Telecom, Media, and Energy & Resources. Your role will involve advising, designing, implementing, and deploying technology-enabled solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of our clients. In this position, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific technologies or solutions, interfacing between clients and Deloitte teams. You will be responsible for understanding business needs and translating them into effective technology solutions. This includes defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, conducting testing, training, and defining support procedures for implementation. You will also be involved in maintaining hands-on technical expertise in certain technologies, advising clients and team members, and managing components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology solutions for large insurance carriers. Your work will directly impact the operational efficiency and growth of our clients by architecting operating models and processes that optimize capital and maximize efficiency. You will be part of a team that serves as trusted advisors to clients, combining strategic thinking with deep industry knowledge to solve complex business problems. This role requires a strong background in insurance solutions, particularly in Property & Casualty, and a proven track record of successful large-scale system implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Interface between clients and Deloitte teams as an SME for specific technologies or solutions.
  • Support the effort to define systems strategy and develop system requirements.
  • Design and prototype technology solutions to meet clients' business needs.
  • Lead the testing of custom technology solutions and present prototypes to clients.
  • Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology solutions for large insurance carriers.
  • Maintain hands-on technical expertise in certain technologies, advising clients and team members on these technologies/solutions.
  • Conduct training and define support procedures for implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of consulting or relevant insurance experience within Property & Casualty.
  • 6 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar package.
  • 6 years of experience working in sub-service areas such as Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration or Distribution.
  • Minimum 4 full life cycle implementations of Large-Scale System Delivery Experience, preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems and/or Claims Systems.
  • 6 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
  • 6 years of experience with Data Mapping.
  • 6 years of experience with SQL.
  • 3 years of experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations.
  • 4 years of experience managing a large Business Integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Advanced degree in area of technical specialization.
  • CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
  • 4 years of experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
  • Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background.
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and Business rules integration.
  • Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule etc.
  • Strong knowledge of standards and specifications (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.).
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
