About the position

As an Operations & Technology Transformation Specialist Master focusing on Guidewire Data Migration and ETL Development, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative technology solutions tailored to the needs of our clients in the insurance sector. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and industry knowledge, allowing you to effectively interface between clients and Deloitte teams. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific technologies, helping to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Your responsibilities will include defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, conducting testing, training, and defining support procedures for implementation. You will be instrumental in developing and reviewing system requirements, designing solutions, redefining business processes, presenting prototypes, and leading the testing of custom technology solutions. In this role, you will maintain hands-on technical expertise in various technologies, advising clients and team members on best practices and solutions. You will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large insurance carriers. Your work will directly impact the operational efficiency and growth of our clients, ensuring they remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance domain, particularly within Property & Casualty sectors, and will be adept at managing large-scale system implementations. You will be expected to travel approximately 50% of the time, depending on client needs and project requirements. Responsibilities

  • Interface between clients and Deloitte teams as an SME for specific technologies or solutions.
  • Support the effort to define systems strategy and develop system requirements.
  • Design and prototype technology solutions to meet clients' business needs.
  • Lead the testing of custom technology solutions and present prototypes to clients.
  • Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology solutions for large insurance carriers.
  • Maintain hands-on technical expertise in certain technologies, advising clients and team members on these technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of consulting or relevant insurance experience within Property & Casualty.
  • 6 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire or similar packages.
  • 6 years of experience in one of the following areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration, or Distribution.
  • Minimum 4 full life cycle implementations of large-scale system delivery experience, preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems, or Claims Systems.
  • 6 years of hands-on ETL experience with Informatica and/or Microsoft SSIS.
  • 6 years of experience with data mapping.
  • 6 years of experience with SQL.
  • 3 years of experience estimating and planning large-scale system implementations.
  • 4 years of experience managing a large business integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a technical specialization.
  • CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification.
  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification.
  • 4 years of experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration.
  • Experience delivering via Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Strong background in Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX.
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools and business rules integration.
  • Familiarity with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
