About the position

The Operations, Test and Evaluation Specialist is responsible for independently monitoring work, ensuring product quality, and consolidating reports for the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). This role involves reviewing collected data for accuracy and completeness, providing technical guidance, and leading lower-graded personnel. The specialist will perform various routine tasks related to Operations, Test, and Evaluation (OT&E) under the guidance of an engineer, applying established techniques to solve problems and ensure compliance with safety and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine OT&E tasks to gain experience with Operations, Test, and Evaluation methods.
• Work under the guidance of an engineer, addressing unusual problems and techniques as directed.
• Provide professional OT&E support within allocated resources.
• Execute portions of OT&E tasks under detailed direction from an engineer.
• Apply equations and techniques to evaluate and solve assigned problems or systems.
• Coordinate with others to address safety, security, environmental, and community concerns.
• Serve as an expert providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical subject or Business with 8-10 years of applicable experience, or 12-14 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs.
• Familiarity with DoD drawings, specifications, practices, formats, and procedures.
• For Working Lead positions, 3-5 years of experience leading or supervising.
• 5 years of experience in developmental test (DT), operational test (OT), and evaluation methods for missile defense systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with radar technology, missile booster dynamics, and hypersonic vehicle dynamics.
• Knowledge of command and control of missile defense systems and missile defense system interoperability.
• Experience in cybersecurity operational testing and monitoring.
