About the position

Linde Gases US is seeking an Operations Training Coordinator to join our team located in East Chicago, IN or Deer Park, TX. The Operations Training Coordinator will play a crucial role in conducting classes at the National Training Centers, managing the class schedule, participant registrations in the Learning Management System (LMS), trainers, materials and equipment, and the upkeep of the National Training Center buildings. The courses offered at the National Training Centers are designed to support Customer Service, Small On-sites, and Bulk facilities. The primary responsibilities of the Operations Training Coordinator include managing course schedules, class materials, equipment, participant registrations in the LMS, participant completion records, re-testing, and trainers. The Coordinator will also identify training content that needs to be updated or developed, working closely with the Operations Training group and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that existing training is current and that new courses are created as needed. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage two National Training Center buildings, overseeing supplies, equipment, budget, and other logistical aspects. Conducting training courses at the National Training Centers is a key responsibility, with classes covering topics such as Basic Electrical, Technical Cleaning, Customer Service systems, and Small Onsite systems. These classes will include lab exercises that require hands-on teaching, and the Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and qualifying trainers based on their subject matter expertise. The role will also involve travel between National Training Centers as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Managing course schedules, class materials, equipment, participant registrations in the LMS, participant completion records and re-testing, and trainers.
  • Identifying training content that needs to be updated or developed.
  • Working with the Operations Training group and Subject Matter Experts to update existing training and create new courses.
  • Managing two National Training Center buildings including supplies, equipment, budget, etc.
  • Conducting training courses at the National Training Centers.
  • Teaching classes that include lab exercises requiring hands-on instruction.
  • Identifying and qualifying trainers based on their subject matter expertise.
  • Traveling between National Training Centers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in developing and delivering training.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Cornerstone.
  • Excellent instructional and facilitation skills.
