The Training Coordinator at FedEx plays a crucial role in implementing and administering training activities at a FedEx station or hub, aligning with the Company's overall training strategy. This position serves as an ongoing educational and training resource, ensuring that all facility employees receive the necessary training to effectively complete their jobs. The Training Coordinator is responsible for managing the training curriculum for all employees within the facility, ensuring that Package Handler training events are properly prepared and executed using established materials and within set timelines. In addition to managing training events, the Training Coordinator monitors continuous on-the-job training for employees, demonstrating proper training techniques on the dock and guiding managers on effective training methods. The role includes leading weekly Package Handler retention team meetings, providing training, follow-up coaching, and feedback to managers based on individual needs and development opportunities. Collaboration with the facility Senior Manager, District Staff, and FedEx University is essential to identify and address training gaps. The Training Coordinator is also responsible for responding to requests and questions regarding training initiatives in a timely manner and may conduct or assist with Package Handler orientation sessions. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in instructor-led training, field operations, or a related area. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of field operations and training principles, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively instruct employees and facilitate training sessions. Time management and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple processes and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines. The ability to anticipate problems and develop effective solutions, as well as the capacity to mentor and coach other employees, are also critical components of this role.
