About the position

The Operations Training Specialist at TAM Residential LLC is responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating, and assessing property management training programs for both new and existing staff. This role aims to enhance the skills and confidence of property management employees, ensuring they are equipped with best practices for success. The specialist will also facilitate change initiatives within property management, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct motivating and compelling onsite and virtual training sessions for property management employees, including new employee training and compliance training.
  • Assist in the development of effective training curriculum and materials across multiple functions such as compliance and operational SOPs.
  • Maintain current training materials as processes and system SOPs are developed.
  • Collaborate with Operational Staff, Operational Support Staff, and third-party vendors to ensure training content is accurate and best-in-class.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees to ensure they can apply what they have learned.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure seamless onboarding training for new employees.
  • Communicate training schedules effectively to employees and monitor attendance and compliance with training programs.
  • Facilitate logistical details for training sessions, including scheduling and preparing training locations.
  • Stay current on legal, operational, and fair housing requirements that influence SOPs.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in onsite training, preferably in the multifamily housing sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in presentation software applications and design programs (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Canva).

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with affordable housing preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience with Entrata PMS preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience with instructional design preferred, but not required.
