About the position

The CSC Transmission Coordinator at Vista Worldlink is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of broadcast events for both new and existing clients. This position requires a keen ability to assess client needs and align them with the most efficient and cost-effective solutions, all while navigating the fast-paced and high-pressure environment typical of live television. The CSC Coordinator must be adept at quickly adapting to changing requirements and collaborating closely with sales and operations teams to address any challenges that may arise during the planning and execution phases. In this role, the CSC Coordinator will undertake various tasks including bookings and scheduling, working as part of a larger operational team. This includes securing price quotes from vendors, planning events, and overseeing the final billing process. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the CSC Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the expectations and needs of the Director are met, while also managing the coordination of events and liaising with clients throughout the planning process. The CSC Coordinator will focus on maximizing the utilization of transmission resources, including fiber, IP, and satellite capacity bookings for both domestic and international events. Additionally, the role involves coordinating production resources such as mobile production units, crewing, and independent production contractors. The Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for specific client accounts, managing all transmission and production requests, and ensuring that all associated paperwork is executed accurately. This position requires a collaborative approach, working with various departments including Sales, Engineering, Production, MCR, and Accounting to ensure the success of projects from scheduling to broadcast and accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate broadcast events for new and existing clients.
  • Liaise with clients and take ownership of the planning process under the supervision of the Director of Operations.
  • Organize and approve freelancer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Schedule internal and external resources within the VISTA Management System (VMS).
  • Assess and implement the most efficient methods of delivery to meet customer requirements.
  • Maximize transmission resource utilization for domestic and international events.
  • Coordinate production resources and requirements, including mobile production units and independent contractors.
  • Handle end-to-end scheduling and execute all associated internal and client paperwork.
  • Work within budget constraints provided by the sales team on all projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy of bookings and project success.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work well under the pressure of live television.
  • General understanding and experience with transmission and production processes.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English; Spanish skills are beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of sports and sports broadcasting is a plus.
