About the position

The Warehouse Specialist role at Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company is crucial for ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This position involves handling the shipping and receiving of products, ensuring that incoming products and materials are stored correctly, and preparing production for delivery. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for staging and loading products in accordance with company standards, which is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. In this role, the Warehouse Specialist will be expected to move products throughout the warehouse in a safe and effective manner. This includes utilizing material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. The position requires conducting various order fulfillment tasks, which include pulling products, building orders, stocking trucks, and managing inventory rotation. Attention to detail is critical, as the specialist will need to count and inspect products to ensure accuracy in reporting and help resolve any discrepancies that may arise. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is also a key responsibility, as it contributes to overall safety in the warehouse environment. The role is physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting and moving of items up to 55 lbs. Employees will engage in various physical activities such as standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The work environment is a warehouse with unregulated temperatures, which can vary based on outdoor conditions. The typical work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or off-shift work as needed. The company emphasizes a drug-free workplace and requires employees to undergo pre-employment physicals and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Move product throughout the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Safely utilize material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
• Conduct order fulfillment tasks (pulling product, building orders, stocking trucks, rotation inventory, etc.).
• Count and inspect product; ensure accurate reports.
• Help to resolve order discrepancies.
• Minimize damaged products.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
• Exhibit ethical conduct at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
• Ability to follow all safety requirements/protocols.
• Good team-player.
• Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
• Positive, helpful attitude.
• Some light computer experience is helpful.
