As an Operations Work Coordinator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and coordination of daily work plans that effectively and efficiently use resources with an emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Your role will involve generating work orders and performing final reviews and closeouts of completed work packets. You will ensure a high level of accuracy within all operating systems to support data integrity. In this position, you will create and maintain a daily work plan and crew roster, adjusting planned schedules on a day-to-day basis and assigning crews for priority tasks based on resource availability and real-time progress reports from front line leaders. You will also generate work orders and complete job closeouts of all work packets within various systems, analyzing exception reports to verify labor and equipment charged to each work order. Additionally, you will support the department by requesting locates, ordering materials, coordinating with other utilities, and scheduling specialized equipment associated with daily operations. Maintaining data integrity within the various systems used to manage daily work execution, asset management, and scheduling activities will be crucial. You will work effectively with local supervisors and build strong partnerships with stakeholder groups to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a daily work plan and daily crew roster.
  • Adjust planned schedules on a day-to-day basis and assign crews for priority tasks.
  • Generate work orders and complete job closeout of all work packets within various systems.
  • Analyze exception reports to verify labor and equipment charged to each work order.
  • Support the department by requesting locates, ordering materials, and coordinating with other utilities.
  • Maintain data integrity within the various systems used to manage daily work execution.
  • Reconcile completed work packets to eliminate discrepancies in labor, material, and transportation charges.
  • Work effectively with local supervisors and build strong partnerships with stakeholder groups.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three years related experience in the utility or construction industries.
  • Good understanding of work order management, payroll, invoicing, materials, compliance, and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
  • Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of computer software applications including Microsoft products and work management tools.
