About the position

As an Operator 1 in the Production Team at our bakery, you will be responsible for various manufacturing activities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires effective communication and teamwork, flexibility in assignments, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will operate bakery equipment, ensure compliance with production guidelines, and support quality control programs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up operation of bakery equipment/manufacturing line.
  • Establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Production/Packaging procedures and practices.
  • Inspect all areas within one line/equipment for operational and mechanical issues.
  • Report all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager promptly.
  • Complete and submit production reports throughout the day.
  • Visually inspect product for quality and quantity.
  • Monitor runs and perform basic troubleshooting on bakery equipment.
  • Support quality control programs to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Understand and comply with all safety procedures applicable to daily operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and GMP procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to work night shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Previous safety training preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience assisting with changeovers preferred.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred.
