About the position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 2 for our Bakery-Production team located in Cayce, South Carolina. As a leading North American baking company, we pride ourselves on our innovative food portfolio that includes a variety of specialty frozen baked goods. The Operator 2 will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety and operational protocols. This position involves both manual and machine-assisted packaging of food products, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining food safety and quality throughout the production process. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and adjusting machinery and equipment to ensure that all food products meet specified quality standards. You will maintain the settings on equipment, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked and that work areas are clean and organized. Adherence to safety rules is paramount, and you will be expected to report any issues related to food safety, quality, production, maintenance, and hygiene to the appropriate personnel. Continuous compliance with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) is essential, and you will be expected to follow the packaging work schedule and running orders diligently. The Operator 2 position is vital to our commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods to our customers. Responsibilities

  • Ensure food meets quality specifications
  • Package food manually and with use of machinery
  • Operate and adjust machinery & equipment to ensure accuracy and proper food specifications
  • Maintain settings on equipment and ensure supplies are full
  • Ensure work areas, machinery and equipment are clean, organized and adhere to applicable safety rules at all times
  • Responsible for reporting and taking necessary actions to ensure food safety and prevent food quality problems from occurring; communicating safety, quality, production, maintenance and hygiene issues to appropriate personnel
  • Continuous compliance with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP's)
  • Adhere to packaging work schedule and running orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Equipment and product knowledge
  • Equipment and product troubleshooting ability
