About the position

The Operator position on the 3rd shift at KECO involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, performing various tasks related to the production of plastic parts. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow documented work instructions while maintaining a clean work area. Operators will be responsible for sorting, inspecting, packaging, and performing secondary operations on products, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of the production process.

Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect products according to quality standards.
• Perform final trimming and clean-up of plastic parts.
• Count, label, and package finished products.
• Conduct secondary operations such as drilling, small assemblies, and sonic welding.
• Complete operator performance documentation including production, downtime, and scrap.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience using simple hand tools and basic mechanical understanding.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
• Team-focused, selfless, and motivated to build relationships with team members.
• Highly dependable and reliable.
• Capable of lifting 30-40 pounds infrequently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in plastics injection molding.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
