About the position
The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for producing quality concrete and ensuring timely delivery to the production crew. This role involves adhering to safety policies, managing customer orders, and maintaining compliance with environmental requirements while operating batching equipment and handling materials.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and adhere to safety policies in all work environments.
- Efficiently batch product using computer or manual controls, making necessary raw material adjustments.
- Complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, and maintain paperwork and plant maintenance.
- Operate front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge the plant with materials.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
- Effectively communicate with drivers to complete customer orders and schedule deliveries.
- Climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, and work in varying environmental conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch experience.
- Excellent oral communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Experience with dispatch systems and personal computers.
- Wet batch experience is a plus.
- Light mechanical experience.
