About the position

The Operator I position at Golden Peanut Company in Seagraves, TX, is a full-time, hourly role that plays a crucial part in the operation and maintenance of processing equipment. The primary responsibilities include maintaining, monitoring, and adjusting equipment as required, while also ensuring that all paperwork related to safety, sanitation, maintenance, and equipment operation is accurately completed. This role requires effective communication with team members and shift employees regarding the proper operation of equipment, any changes in flow rates or processing capabilities, safety concerns, product quality issues, and maintenance needs. In addition to equipment management, the Operator I will perform general housekeeping duties, which include sweeping, using compressed air for cleaning, and maintaining a clean work area. The position demands a cooperative spirit, as the Operator I will work closely with the Management Team and co-workers to ensure smooth operations. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person, emphasizing the need for flexibility and teamwork in this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and adjust equipment as required.
• Complete paperwork regarding safety, sanitation, maintenance, and processing equipment operation.
• Communicate with team/shift employees about equipment operation, flow rates, safety concerns, product quality issues, and maintenance issues.
• Perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and cleaning the work area with compressed air.
• Work cooperatively with the Management Team and co-workers.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

Requirements

• Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture and understanding all company safety procedures.
• Ability to work rotating shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance and maintain attendance records in accordance with company policy.
• Meet physical requirements of the position, including prolonged periods of standing, working at various heights, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in various conditions (hot, cold, etc.).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
